User Policy

Mentorria is an inclusive, safe, and respectful place to learn — both inside your community hub and online. Everyone on Mentorria — students, parents, local tutors, global tutors, and Academic Coordinators — deserves to feel welcome, valued, and secure. These policies apply everywhere Mentorria operates: in the learning hub, on live sessions with global tutors, and on our learning platform.

Treat others the way you want to be treated — in the hub, on camera, and on the platform.

• Be inclusive and welcoming to every learner, regardless of background.
• Respect differing viewpoints; welcome diversity within our communities.

Bullying & Harassment

Bullying — hurting, threatening, excluding, or repeatedly picking on someone — is never allowed, in the hub or online. Harassment (words or actions that make someone feel scared, humiliated, or disrespected) is not tolerated from students, tutors, or parents.

Hate Speech & Exclusion

Mentorria does not allow language, imagery, or behavior that attacks or excludes anyone based on race, caste, origin, language, gender, religion, or disability. No student may be excluded from a batch, station, or activity based on these traits. Language like "not for girls" or "no [group] allowed" has no place in our hubs or classes.

Profanity

No swearing, name-calling, or rude language — from students, tutors, or parents — even said as a joke.

Age-Appropriate & Neutral Content

• Lessons that touch on government, history, or current events must be handled neutrally and factually.
• Political or hot-topic discussion is only appropriate within a designated lesson plan, and must respect multiple viewpoints. Tutors should not promote a personal political position while representing Mentorria — in the hub or on a live session.

Religious Content

Mentorria serves families of every faith and background. Our hubs and sessions are religiously neutral — lessons should not promote or discourage any specific religious belief, while respecting the cultural diversity of the communities we operate in.

Sexual Content

• No discussion or depiction of private body parts, sexual jokes, gestures, or descriptions of anyone's body or behavior.
• No romantic or personal relationship of any kind between a tutor (local or global) and a student — on or off the platform.
• Age-appropriate human biology or sex education is permitted only as part of an approved curriculum, with parental awareness.

• Students should do their own work. Copying homework, tests, or another student's original work is not allowed.
• AI Use: AI tools may support learning (practice, explanation, revision) but must never replace a student's own work on assignments or assessments.
• Don't create fake reviews of tutors, hubs, or classes.
• Don't impersonate someone else, or submit false personal information — including age, grade, school, or identity documents — for enrollment or any other purpose.
• Don't misrepresent information for financial gain, including creating duplicate accounts to claim discounts or scholarships.

Mentorria is unusual in that safety spans two environments: the physical learning hub and the live digital classroom with global tutors. Both are covered here.

3.1 Hub (Physical Location) Safety

• All learning hubs operate inside a designated, RWA-approved space (clubhouse, community hall, or partner school room) — never a private residence.
• Every hub has a background-verified Local Tutor/Facilitator on-site and supervising for the full duration of every session — no session runs unsupervised.
• Students must be signed in and signed out by an authorized parent/guardian or a person explicitly listed on the student's pickup list.
• Hub access is limited to enrolled students, verified staff, and pre-approved visitors (e.g., an RWA representative or Academic Coordinator on a scheduled visit).
• Hubs maintain a visible emergency contact list, first-aid provision, and a clear evacuation plan.
• Any injury, incident, or safety concern at a hub must be reported to the Academic Coordinator and the affected student's parent on the same day.

3.2 Global Tutor (Live Digital Session) Safety

• All live sessions with a Global Subject Expert happen only through Mentorria's approved smart panel/platform integration — never through a personal Zoom link, phone number, or personal social media.
• The Local Tutor/Facilitator is present in the room for every global tutor session — students are never left alone in a live digital session.
• Global tutors must remain on camera, visible and identifiable, for the full session.
• All live sessions are recorded. Recordings are retained only as long as needed for quality and safety review, are accessible only to verified parents of enrolled students, and may not be downloaded or shared externally.
• No one may share an external or personal video call link with a student under any circumstance.

3.3 Staff Verification

• All Local Tutors and Global Subject Experts undergo background verification before working with students.
• Tutors are treated as mandatory reporters and must follow legally required protocols to report suspected abuse, neglect, or any situation endangering a minor.

3.4 Alcohol, Tobacco & Drugs

No use, display, or discussion of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs during any session — in the hub or online — unless part of an approved, age-appropriate lesson (e.g., a health/science class). No one may attend or facilitate a session while under the influence.

3.5 Preventing Grooming

Inappropriate relationships between any adult (tutor, staff, volunteer) and a student are never allowed, in the hub or online. Tutors and staff may never offer a student money, gifts, or non-Mentorria rewards.

If a student, parent, or tutor feels uneasy about any interaction, comment, or relationship:

• Say no and disengage.
• Tell a trusted adult — a parent, the Local Tutor, or the Academic Coordinator — right away.
• Report it to Mentorria's Safety contact, and to local authorities if there is any immediate danger.

3.6 Gifts & Rewards

Tutors may give students certificates of completion or standard educational materials. Personal gifts from a tutor to a student, outside of approved program rewards, are not permitted. Gifts may never be exchanged for reviews, ratings, or preferential treatment.

3.7 Health Topics

• Do not discuss personal mental health struggles (such as depression or self-harm) in class settings.
• Tutors and staff should not provide medical advice, therapy, diet plans, or counseling.
• General stress-management tips, fitness/nutrition classes, and science lessons on the human body are permitted with appropriate care.

• Keep all communication about a student's learning on Mentorria's official channels (platform, hub, or Mentorria-approved parent communication) — not personal phone numbers or social media, except where a parent has explicitly opted in to a hub-level parent contact list.
• Never share a student's or family's private information — full name, address, phone number, school, photos, or health information — outside approved Mentorria records.
• Local Tutors and Global Tutors must never share a student's personal information with another student.
• Photos or videos of students (e.g., for hub promotional material) require prior written parent consent.
• Materials, links, and third-party tools used in class must be age-appropriate and comply with applicable child-data-protection requirements.

• No bulk or repeated messaging to parents or students outside official Mentoria communication.
• Never request payment outside Mentorria's official payment channels.
• Never send money, personal information, or images in exchange for gifts, discounts, or "special" access.
• If you believe you've encountered a scam impersonating Mentorria, report it immediately — you will not be blamed for reporting.

• No violent, graphic, or frightening content in lessons unless clearly part of an age-appropriate, approved curriculum (e.g., a supervised science demonstration or historical context lesson).
• No display or discussion of weapons outside a clearly approved, supervised classroom context.
• No jokes about, or depictions of, self-harm, suicide, or dangerous challenges, at a hub or in a digital session.

If anything at a hub, in a live session, or on the platform feels wrong, unsafe, or inappropriate — don't stay quiet.

• Students: Tell a trusted adult — your Local Tutor, a parent, or the Academic Coordinator — right away.
• Parents & Tutors: Contact Mentorria's Safety Team at safety@mentoria.example or through the parent app/portal.
• Serious or urgent situations: Contact local law enforcement directly, in addition to notifying Mentorria.

All reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially wherever possible.
