Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 3, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of Mentorria's community-based blended learning platform, including our website, app, learning hubs, and live sessions (together, the "Services"). By enrolling a Learner, creating an account, or otherwise using our Services, you ("you," the Parent/Guardian) agree to these Terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the enrolled Learner.

1. Eligibility

  • Services are intended for Learners aged 5–18, enrolled by a Parent/Guardian who is at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
  • A Learner may not create their own account or enroll themselves; enrollment must be completed by a Parent/Guardian.
  • By enrolling, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you are the Learner's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to enroll them.

2. Description of Services

Mentorria provides blended learning programs combining:

  • In-person instruction from a Local Tutor at a designated community hub.
  • Live remote instruction from a Global Subject Expert, delivered through Mentorria's platform.
  • An AI-powered learning platform for practice, assessment, and progress tracking.

Specific programs, subjects, schedules, and hub locations are described at the time of enrollment and may vary by community.

3. Account Registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify Mentorria immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Mentorria may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, violates these Terms, or poses a safety risk, as described in Section 9.

4. Fees, Payment & Refunds

4.1 Payment Terms

When enrolling in a Mentorria program, you will see your total charges at checkout, including the program fee and any applicable processing fees and taxes ("Total Price"). Total Price is payable in the currency specified on the Mentorria platform at the time of purchase.

Applicable fees may include Mentorria processing fees and applicable taxes (collectively, "Other Fees"), which you are solely responsible for paying. Mentorria reserves the right to modify Other Fees from time to time, including for maintenance or additional services.

If you dispute any charge, you must notify Mentorria within 48 hours of the date you were charged.

4.2 Program Cancellation Policy

Cancel within 24 hours of enrollment (or of your program's recurring renewal date — weekly, monthly, or per term) to receive a refund.

If your program or session is scheduled to meet within 24 hours of enrollment or renewal, you must cancel before the session begins to receive a refund.

For self-paced or on-demand content, you must cancel before access begins if access is scheduled to start within 24 hours of enrollment or renewal.

Outside this 24-hour window, standard cancellation applies going forward (i.e., you may withdraw a Learner at any time, but the cancellation window for a refund on the current billing period has passed — see Section 4.6 for what happens next).

4.3 How to Cancel & Automatic Refunds

To cancel an enrollment, go to your Mentorria account's enrollment/schedule page and select the program you wish to withdraw from, then follow the cancellation flow.

If you cancel within the refund window (Section 4.2), your enrollment is automatically withdrawn and a refund is issued.

If you cancel outside the refund window, the withdraw action removes your Learner from the program going forward but does not automatically issue a refund for the current billing period. You will be prompted to submit a short form if you believe you qualify for a refund under Section 4.4 or 4.5.

Refunds to a card typically appear within 1–3 business days. Refunds to a Mentorria account balance/wallet (if applicable) may take up to 14 business days.

4.4 Full Refunds (Outside the Standard Cancellation Window)

You are guaranteed a full refund, regardless of the 24-hour window, in the following situations:

  • Mentorria or the assigned Tutor cancels the program before its first scheduled session.
  • A Tutor misses a one-time or single scheduled session — you may request a full refund for that session, or wait for it to be rescheduled.
  • The date or time of a session is changed before the program starts, and the new time doesn't work for you.

4.5 Prorated Refunds

You are guaranteed a prorated refund, based on the number of sessions in your program, in the following situations:

  • Part of your program is rescheduled and you cannot attend the rescheduled session(s) — refund is prorated to sessions missed, upon request.
  • The Tutor does not deliver the number of sessions originally listed for the program — refund is prorated, upon request.
  • Mentorria or the Tutor cancels a program that is already in progress — refund is prorated to the percentage of unattended, canceled sessions you paid for.

4.6 Additional Policies

  • Missing a session does not entitle you to a refund.
  • If a Learner misses 3 consecutive sessions without communicating with the Tutor or Mentorria, the family forfeits the remaining program fee for that batch, and Mentorria/the Tutor may withdraw the Learner or reassign the batch slot. At the Tutor's discretion, the Learner may instead be transferred to another available batch or offered a session recording, where available.
  • If a Learner does not join a live session (hub or Global Tutor) within 10 minutes of its start time, the Tutor may end/cancel that session at their discretion. This counts as a missed session and is not eligible for a refund.
  • Refunds are not guaranteed for missed sessions due to a scheduling conflict on the family's side.
  • A Tutor or Mentorria may transfer a Learner to another batch of the same program with the family's consent.
  • Families are responsible for confirming their Learner's session schedule in advance (including around daylight-saving or regional time changes for Global Tutor sessions); missed sessions due to a schedule misunderstanding are not eligible for refund.
  • Non-refundable fees, if any (e.g., a one-time registration or diagnostic assessment fee), will be clearly marked as such at checkout.
  • In rare cases, a Parent/Guardian who requests an excessive number of refunds may be disqualified from receiving future refunds, at Mentorria's discretion.

5. Code of Conduct

Use of our Services is also governed by our User Policy (for Parents and Learners) and Tutor Policy (for Local Tutors and Global Subject Experts), both incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violations of those policies may result in suspension or termination of access, as described in Section 9.

6. Hub Access & Physical Safety

  • Access to a physical hub is limited to enrolled Learners, verified pickup contacts, Mentorria staff, and approved visitors, in line with our User Policy.
  • Mentorria hubs operate under a facility agreement with the relevant RWA or school partner; hub availability may be affected by that partner's own policies, closures, or access rules, which Mentorria will communicate as they arise.
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is picked up on time by an authorized contact; Mentorria's supervision responsibility is limited to the duration of the scheduled session plus a reasonable transition window, as detailed in your hub's specific operating procedures.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All course materials, curriculum, branding, software, and platform content are the property of Mentorria or its licensors and may not be copied, redistributed, or used outside the Services without written permission.
  • Recordings of live sessions are for the enrolled Learner's family and Mentorria's internal use only, as described in our Learner Privacy Policy, and may not be downloaded, copied, or redistributed.
  • Any original work a Learner creates during a program (e.g., a project or assignment) remains the Learner's own work; Mentorria may use anonymized or de-identified examples for internal quality review or promotional purposes only with separate parental consent.

8. Tutor Relationship Disclosure

Local Tutors and Global Subject Experts are independent contractors engaged by Mentorria, not employees, unless otherwise stated. Mentorria requires background verification and adherence to our Tutor Policy for all Tutors, but a Tutor's specific instructional approach may vary within Mentorria's program standards.

9. Suspension & Termination

  • Mentorria may suspend or terminate a Learner's or Tutor's access to the Services for violation of these Terms, the User Policy, the Tutor Policy, non-payment, or conduct that poses a safety risk to others.
  • Parents/Guardians may withdraw a Learner from the Services at any time by notifying Mentorria; refund treatment for the remaining program follows Section 4.
  • Certain obligations (e.g., confidentiality, payment for services already rendered, limitation of liability) survive termination.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Mentorria will exercise reasonable care in vetting Tutors, operating hubs safely, and delivering programs as described, but does not guarantee specific academic outcomes.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mentorria's liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount paid for the specific program giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or matters that cannot be limited under Indian law (including matters relating to the safety of a minor).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mentorria harmless from claims arising out of your (or your Learner's) violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or violation of applicable law, except where such claims arise from Mentorria's own negligence or breach of these Terms.

12. Force Majeure

Mentorria is not liable for delays or failures in delivering the Services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, internet/utility outages, or RWA/facility access restrictions. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or otherwise remedy affected sessions.

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, or the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to Parents/Guardians via email or in-app notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
